The Maple Tree, Taupo - Central Accommodation

We had a memorable stay. The house was enjoyed bi our group. Positive: The property was in an excellent location very close to Lake Tahoe and all that’s happening there! We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well equipped. The extra large bathtub is appreciated in the master bath.. Negative: The laundry machine needed maintenance and it was an inconvenience. We found the local laundromat to wash the laundry. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet.

Travelling as 2 couples, we would’nt recommend Positive: Location, (but not walking distance to town), good size, parking, helpful host, premier bed room was beautiful. New bathrooms and good toiletries. Negative: Second double bedroom was poor by comparison to the main one. No air con, plug for wall heater didn’t reach the socket. Only one wall socket, therefore long extension to reach table lamp and to charge phone on the floor. Mis matched curtains. Only one bulb out of 3 working in ceiling lamp. Washing machine needs attention.

Lovely house in a great location - just had an ant issue Positive: The house is beautiful and very well setup , the boys enjoyed staying there for their week in Taupo Negative: The third bedroom unfortunately was beset by ants which detracted from the overall stay for our third electrician.

Excellent location. Beautiful home with all necessary modern amenities in perfect condition. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Rooms well laid out to accommodate our family but could also work well for couples/friends sharing the space. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer so we could fully utilize all available amenities.

Very cute cottage very close to the lake, we look forward to returning! Positive: Really cute cottage in a great spot. Lovely having a fire in the evening and the kitchen was perfect for a family dinner. The whole experience was super easy with the host being super helpful with instructions over text. Negative: Nothing, it was perfect for our needs. A great house for a family visit to Taupo.
