Gorgeous on Gillies exceeded our expectations in every respect! Positive: Friendly, helpful communication from the host; beautiful setting; super clean; plenty of space to relax.

Positive: plenty of room and very clean,well maintained.perhaps aircon would be good...was very warm one night-but plenty of fans provided to help.

Loved it … Positive: We loved the property for our 5 night stay. Spotless clean and kept internally, nicely furnished and well equipped, even with a good stock of LEGO and board games, which our kids made good use of! Very comfortable with amble space for our family of 5. Small but nicely kept garden. Well located - 10 minute walk to town. Would definitely be our go to when we are back in Taupo. Excellent comms. Negative: It would have been good to know in advance that a new house was being built 6-8 metres from the front door - the builders started at 7am (with music and power tools) and sometimes we’d be relaxing in the sunroom or front garden to be surprised by a few builders walking through the front garden to look at the back of the build! A bit frustrating at times but didn’t detract from our overall stay in what is otherwise a lovely holiday home. Gas fire starting mechanism needs attention.
